I appreciate this cliffhanger ending. I hope the little leeches are okay. They are sluglike and Shai Halud-like.
They do have a Shai Halud quality, they can heal, they can hurt, they control the desert?!

I am looking forward to pt 2! I am curious why you say lower ferritin is linked to a longer life? I have had chronically low ferritin and am trying to raise it. in general curious about your thoughts on iron if you feel like sharing in the future :)
